Entry tags:attention duelists!, question time,

I've made a decision: I'm taking back Valentine's Day.

On Sunday I'm going to have a day of self-love: I'm going to be positive about myself and maybe even pamper myself a little, because I deserve it. So maybe I might have to spend the next few days convincing myself that I actually do deserve it, but I do, and so does everyone else!

Poll #2249 Day of Self-Love!

This is the thing with glitter. You start with just one sparkle, and next thing you know...

I'm all for taking the day back. Hell if I had a someone I'm sure I'd be celebrating so extra long hot showers with smelly stuff and smooshy films and good books and awesome music sounds like a good plan. (Which is essentially a nice combo of stuff I love.)

I have no idea. Maybe it was the shower that was distracting. Chocolate in the shower doesn't sound like a good plan unless it's in your soap. But then again films in the bathroom also sound like an awful plan... so yeah, no excuses!

My girlfriend and I hate the idea of Valentines Day.

We usually do something anti-slushy like have a McDonalds meal and split the bill down the middle.

Valentine's day has always been my version of April Fool's to my sister. But I shall spend this Valentine's day knitting her birthday gift. In secret. And how is that pampering myself? Because this is the yarn: http://www.flickr.com/photos/angryoldhag/4342987859/ Lovely, lovely, soft, rich purple, organic cotton.

And it has a lovely drape to it too. Now I'm an extremely loose litter (how loose? I can get 17 stitches to four inches instead of the nineteen to four on a 4.5 mm needle) but it feels smooth and follows shapes perfectly so far not to mention, like all proper cotton, it's quite cool to the touch.

Downside: I pick into the yarn and since cotton really shows the stitches you also see the flaws (like picking into yarn).

I'm talking too much about yarn, aren't I?
